MSNBC posted an article about an elephant who received a prosthetic foot. The elephant was found in the Cambodian jungle in 2007. He was near death and his foot mangled from a poachers trap. I was saddened by the cruelty of the poachers but this story did have a pleasant outcome.
It is sad that animals are treated this way. The fact that they were able to make a prosthetic foot for this baby elephant and train him to walk on it is amazing. There is hope for other animals in similar situations that fall prey to poachers
I believe we should respect all animals as no animal deserves to suffer.
